Need Is the Leash

Tell me what you need, and I’ll tell you who owns you. Need is the quiet lever every system of power runs on: manufacture a need, stand between someone and it, and you never have to compete again. Most of what you’re told you “need” is just someone’s checkpoint wearing the costume of necessity — a token, a platform, a permission. Sovereignty isn’t accumulation; it’s needing less. The work is an audit: cut every leash handed to you as a requirement. But keep the floor — the things you genuinely can’t self-issue, like trust in your own output. Reduce your needs to that floor, and no further. Own what’s real. Cut the rest.
